She was not created from his head, to top him. Nor from his feet, to be stepped upon. She was made from his side, to be close to him. Beneath his arm, to be protected by him. Near his heart, to be loved by him. The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, "Fear of Allah is the root of all wisdom... The face that gets wet with the smallest tear drop from the fear of Allah is safe from entrance into jahannam. No drop is dearer to Allah than two drops: a tear drop shed in fear of Allah and a drop of blood shed in the path of Allah." He has also said, "When a Muslim trembles with the fear of Allah, his sins fall away from him like the falling leaves of a tree." The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) reported that Allah told him: "My anger descends upon a person who bears ill-will towards My friends. And only those are blessed with My love who implicitly carry out injunctions which I have made obligatory. A person keeps getting closer to me till I choose him as 'My beloved'. I then become his ear by which he listens, his eye with which he looks, his hands with which he holds, and his feet with which he walks (i.e. his listening, looking, holding and walking are all in perfect accord with My injunctions, and he would never even dream of employing any part of his body in any action contrary to My commands). If such a person makes duaa for anything, I grant it to him and if he seeks My protection I do protect him."
