South African photographer, videographer, podcaster and entrepreneur based in Johannesburg South Africa, he specialises in events, weddings, portraits, lifestyle photography and video content creation. Born and raised in Kwazulu Natal, Cyril has been a keen observer of the visual arts from a young age. The interest in photography started while working at a marketing agency in 2014, he saw a gap in the market that there was a lack of photos of black people in the stock photography field. This was the birth of Color Space, a stock photo website with photos and content that is representative of people of colour.
Cyril has been featured in publications such as MarkLives, The Plug, B-Kool Media & YoMzansi for his work with Color Space. 2019 saw the highlight of Cyril’s entrepreneurial career when he was selected by YFM as part of a group of entrepreneurs who’s businesses are shaping the African narrative.
