Welcome to WOMP filter!!! Why that name? Read on: The name "Womp Filter" comes from a high school friend that had a 3rd gen Camaro. He loved his car as you'd imagine and in the effort to gain more horsepower he purchased a drop base for his carb so he could fit a larger height filter under the hood. Unbeknownst to him that drop base was keeping his secondary's from opening. So when he installed the new filter and base it wouldn't go wide open throttle. He had no idea what was going on but informed me at some point that he was installing his old filter cause the car just ran better with it on and it made a WOMP noise.. Thus the name was born... Later we fixed the drop base with a hammer and re-installed. The car ran the same.. cause 305 with like 2.xx gear ratio lol
