John Bird is an Irish bass guitarist and vocalist, currently living in London, UK.
He has worked with many artists; from number one selling singer Sandi Thom, Polydor duo Hudson Taylor, to supporting Rock legends Bon Jovi on their Circle world tour.
A graduate from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, he has been on the session circuit for over five years. Whilst studying, John developed extensive experience on double bass, guitar, piano and vocals. He also integrates electronic equipment such as synthesisers and various effects pedals into his bass playing.
His influences are Nathan Watts, James Jamerson, Pino Palladino, Flea and Marcus Miller, all of which heavily influence his bass style.
John mostly plays Fender Bass Guitars with Elixir NanoWeb Strings, using BOSS Pedals, Line 6 wireless systems, Korg synthesisers and Ampeg or Ashdown Amplifiers.
