This channel features the Canadian variety/sketch show "Smith & Smith" that was on the air for eight seasons between 1978 and 1985. Starring the husband and wife duo of Steve "Red Green" Smith and Morag Smith, the show featured a blend of sketch comedy, humorous musical numbers and, in the earlier seasons, performances by other talented individuals from the Toronto area, as the show was recorded around Burlington/Hamilton, Ontario.
This is the show which gave the world the Red Green character. Steve eventually spun the character off into a show in its own right in 1990, where it became a success beyond Canada's borders, and was a fixture on PBS stations in the US. After Smith & Smith ended in 1985, Steve and Morag went on to create a more sitcom based program called "Me & Max", which featured their two children, Max and Dave. And around the same time, they started another show called "The Comedy Mill", which ran for a few seasons, and included several other regular cast members.
