WIDU.africa - The smart way to support friends & family in Africa!
The online plattform www.widu.africa is a project of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and is being funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The plattform partners with members of the North and Sub-Saharan African diaspora in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland to provide micro and small businesses in six African countries with financial support and coaching. Our aim is to save and create jobs by redirecting existing remittances into sustainable investments for small businesses. In addition to financial support from the diaspora, participating entrepreneurs receive free business coaching and a grant from WIDU. The goal is the creation of new jobs, increased income and better economic perspectives for Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Togo and Tunisia.
