Let's give the benefit of the doubt to a claim that there is a sentient, omnipotent and omnipresent force governing the Universe; be it a deity, or not.
How much would IT care about what Carl Sagan termed the "Pale Blue Dot", and everything on it - including You?
If one is religious, You are convinced that the care is on a very personal, individual, level; Are You not?
You needn't travel far, nor master any science, for to get an answer to that question. So, how much would a god, if there were one, be concerned with You, your actions and your "destiny"? Does the Universe worry over You?
Look up, into the clear night sky. It is a majestic sight, isn't it? However, what you're witnessing aren't just stars and nebulae, but also countless worlds - whole solar systems and galaxies - perishing into outbursts of gamma rays, vigorous nuclear explosions and tame entropic decays.
The Universe demonstrably so wouldn't care, even if it could.
