STARSTRUCK is the first Philippine reality program that seeks to discover a new breed of stars.
The competition is broken into a series of weekly artista tests that require young hopefuls to perform their best in the fields of acting, singing, and dancing.
Launched in 2003, StarStruck pioneered a tedious and meticulous selection process wherein from a nationwide casting call attracting thousands of dreamers and believers, only 7 boys and 7 girls are chosen to compete in the weekly challenges. The weakest performers get eliminated until only two survive to win the most coveted titles of StarStruck Ultimate Male Survivor and Starstruck Ultimate Female Survivor.
StarStruck catapulted the careers of Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Megan Young, Yasmien Kurdi, Katrina Halili, Mike Tan, Miguel Tanfelix, Bea Binene, Kris Bernal, Rocco Nacino, Klea Pineda, and Migo Adecer, among others.
