Kelvin Maina was born and raised in Mūranga County, Kiharu Constituency, Gaturi Ward. He started composing songs in primary school. Kelvin Maina recorded his first song (Watūire) in 2019. In 2020 he recorded the hit song (Ndagwita Kihoti) and released it in 2021. He has later released several songs which are doing well.
