Some of my best memories are as a little girl in the country, at an old Virginia farmhouse, where we had to have the sunshine pumped in! Those country roads etched in my mind take me back to mama cooking up some of my favorite recipes on an old cookstove, washing up supper dishes & always tryin her best to give us the most out of what she had. I also see a cloud of dust down that long old driveway. It was my daddy coming in from a long hard day of work. I can hear him telling stories like only he could. I see him coming across the field with dinner & remember being thankful he could provide for us. The corn fields were my playground & peanut fields kept us fed. They were truly some of the best days of my life & it is surely where my love of country came from. Now, I am blessed to be a mother & Gigi. My family is my world. I love cooking, DIYs, thrifting & making memories. Thanks for taking the time to travel back to those country roads that I call home.
