Aldo Bova was born in Torino (Italy) in 1954; he studied recorder, division and chamber music with Sergio Balestracci, harpsichord and basso continuo with Antonio Revelli, and attended some summer schools with Kees Boeke, Alfred Deller, Edgard Hunt. He began teaching and giving concerts in 1972. He played with: Sergio Balestracci, Antonio Mosca, Gaetano Nasillo, Giorgio Fava, Woute Möller, Ilario Gregoletto, Edward Smith, Marco Rosa Salva, Stefano Bet, Massimo Lonardi, Gianni Lazzari, Rita Peyretti, Venice Baroque Orchestra, RAI Orchestra of Turin. In 1992 he founded the SMAV School of Early Music in Venice.
