This channel was started as a place to share my wanderings and woodcraft with friends and family. After I introduced the Emberlit Stove it also became a place to showcase my stove as well as other outdoor products being developed by my company MerkWares. The title MerkWares is just a play on my last name. "Merk" for "Merkurieff", and "Wares" meaning stuff I make.
I have a passion for primitive living skills, woodcraft, survival, hunting, fishing, trapping, gear, and just about anything else to do with the outdoors and simple living. One might say I have a terminal case of Wanderlust.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has helped make my little stove so popular. MerkWares and the Emberlit stove is now my full time work and has blessed my family and I in ways we could never imagine.
