I am a fine artist and reportage sketcher, based in Sheffield, England. I have been a freelance artist for 35 yrs and have led workshops all over the world, including China, USA, Australia, Brazil, Dominican Republic and the UK. In 2018, I was invited to Perth, Australia for a 2-month residency with the Centre for Transformative Work Design at UWA. In 2017, Making Ways awarded me a 4-week residency and exhibition in Sheffield: 'Urban Sketching into Textiles'. In 2015, I won a Leverhulme Trust 10-month residency with The Morgan Centre for Research into Everyday Lives, at Manchester University.
I have over 30 published books, including Sketching People: an Urban Sketcher’s Guide. I have 8000+ Instagram followers. I am also an accomplished public speaker.
