We are trying to bring more details about 10 years long Nepali's Maoist War (1996-2006): where maoist guerrillas were seeking to overthrow the Nepal monarchy though a rural uprising.
Since the beginning of the war on 13th february of 1996, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist ) began the war against the government where approximatly 17,000 people died . By early 2006, the government's control of the countryside was weak to nonexistant, while political turmoil in the capital aided the rebels. In May, 2006, a new government offered to negotiate with the rebels, and the Maoists agreed to begin talks with the government . Finally the Comprehensive Peace Agree- ment signed on November 21, 2006 formally ended a decade-long armed insurgency of Nepal.
