Pakistan Television Corporation (Urdu: پاكِستان ٹیلی وژن نیٹ ورک; reporting name: PTV) is a Pakistani television network owned by Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation headquartered at Broadcasting House, Islamabad.
The Television Promoters Company (Private) Ltd. was incorporated on February. 10, 1966. Subsequently, on June 27, 1967, it was converted into a public limited company and called Pakistan Television Corporation Limited. An excerpt from the Article of Association is given below.
After the successful completion of the 90-day experimental period, the Lahore and Dhaka Stations were taken over by the Television Promoters Company (Pvt) Ltd, established by the Government of Pakistan. It became Ptv in 1967.
