TVXQ!, meaning “The Rising Gods of the East”, is a Korean pop group formed in 2003. Every since their debut, TVXQ! has been labeled as the “King of K-POP” for their immense success and contributions to Hallyu and Korean pop.
In 2013, TVXQ! topped the Oricon single chart 12 times and secured the No.1 sales ranking with 3 straight albums in a row on Oricon’s weekly album sales charts, breaking the record set by American rock band Bon Jovi. The same year, TVXQ! became the first Korea group who held a tour in Japan’s five major domes, and they successfully completed 18 concerts in 7 cities, with a total attendance of 850,000 audience, breaking the record of the highest number of audiences in a single concert tour. Their most recent tour from September 2018 to January 2019 gathered an audience of 680,000, proving their immense popularity maintained for many years.
Most recently, TVXQ! released a new special album commemorating their 15th debut anniversary, ‘New Chapter #2: The Truth of Love’, which topped various global music charts.
