In 2006, 100COPIES MUSIC was established as a music label by Mahmoud Refat in order to produce and distribute the specific genre of experimental and electronic music locally and internationally.
During the first year, electronic and experimental music in its different forms spread locally. All the produced albums of Cairo-based musicians were sold out within 2 – 3 months. The original idea of the label was to produce 100 copies of each album,
100COPIES MUSIC rapidly became the reference of the new music scene in Egypt and even regionally.
100COPIES MUSIC was ans still the sole founder of Mahraganat Music in Egypt & Worldwide.
