Deniz Taşar is an Istanbul based singer, songwriter and a multidisciplinary artist with a genre bending musical approach, varying from jazz to pop. After her wins at three major young jazz vocal competitions, she released her well received debut album 'Uykuda Bir Bulut' and her bass-vocal duo project 'Songs From A Breeze's 'Chapter One' in 2016.
After founding SOLAS Records in 2019, she released 'Onu Ona Ona Onu', with an accompanying short film with art direction by her and 'Uzaktan' with a music video directed by Taşar herself. She released her second solo album 'Pişman Olunmayan Dünler' where she expands her jazz sound to include pop, rock, hip hop and electronic elements. She's written for Netflix and Disney+ originals and collaborated with many artists and festivals.
Winner of 2023’s “Best Jazz Artist” award by Radyo Boğaziçi Music Awards, Taşar's first single 'Söyle Deniz' from her upcoming album is out now with its music video.
