Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati started its functioning with the launch of Evening Regional News Bulletin on March 24, 1985 for 15 minutes. The Morning Assamese News bulletin was initiated on November 16, 1992 for 5 minutes & later it was extended for 10 minutes. The Morning Assamese bulletin is now aired at 9.00 AM daily for 30 minutes. The North East Evening bulletin in English was launched on March 1, 1997 and is aired at 6.45 pm daily for 15 minutes. We maintain highest standards of Public Service Broadcasting while mounting our bulletins & programmes. RNU Guwahati is headed by Ankur Lahoty, Deputy Director. News Editors are Maruf Alam & Santanu Rowmuria. Timings of bulletins are:
1) 09:00-09:30 AM
2) 11:00-11:15 AM
3) 02:00-2:30 PM
4) 04:00-04:30 PM
5) 05:00-05:01 PM
6) 06:15 -06:45 PM
7) 06:45-07:00 PM, NE News (English)
