After being formed in 2012, they received quite some attention and performed at dozens of live shows and festivals including SXSW (US / March 2013), The Great Escape (UK / 2013) and One Love Festival (Turkey / 2012). They released our debut EP "How Did It All Start" and first music video song called "Galaxies" late 2012. The song was played on several high profile radio stations like KEXP (US) and Amazing Radio (UK). The Away Days were expected to play on the same stage with The Vaccines, Foals and Blur in June 2013 but the festival was cancelled due to protests in Istanbul, which caught NME's attention, who later interviewed the band. Also a huge number of national and international media like Guardian, NPR and NME mentioned The Away Days as a band to be noticed. Now the band is working on their forthcoming debut album.
