Welcome to the offical Zimbabwe Railways YouTube channel.
Zimbabwe Railways is a channel that focuses on railroad activities within Zimbabwe. I will be sharing videos of National Railways of Zimbabwe ( NRZ ) trains mostly from Gweru and other parts of the network when possible. The common type of locomotives you should expect to see are GT22LC-2, GT26CU-2, U11B & 15th Class Beyer Garrett. Since 2017 NRZ leased Transnet locomotives and rolling stock therefore those will be featured a lot here too. Expect to see Class 34-200, 34-600, 34-800 & 37-000 locomotives. Not only limited to Zimbabwe, I'll be sharing videos from beyond boarders i.e. Botswana, Zambia, South Africa & Mozambique.
Another type of locomotives which is now common is a Grindrod RL30SCC.
EL1 electric locomotives were the main motive power used between Gweru and Harare. Those will be featured here too.
