An explanation of my screen name, to avoid any confusion over its meaning. My brother Jason and I started a DJ team/party production company called Pussypower Productions back in 1991, with Jason's girlfriend at the time, Frances McKee. She'd just left a group called The Vaselines and decided to chip in with us and form Pussypower.
At that time in Central Scotland there was lots of macho "Happy Hardcore" techno in the club scene which we hated with a passion!
Our style was radically different, from Acid House to Detriot Techno, to Chicago House, Deep House, and on to UK techno innovators like UBIK, the WARP label etc etc.
What we were looking for was Funky club sounds with an edge! But NOT a "macho" edge, more of a cat-like slinkiness, but powerful with it....so Frances came up with the "Pussypower" name!
And as my name is Terry, then I'm sure you can work out the rest.
AND we all love cats! So an artist called Joe Jones designed our logo which encompassed it all!
