Portable amateur radio builds and activities. When I started this channel I used it mainly as a video repository of my Summits On The Air activations and amateur radio projects, without much attention to correct video indexing or interaction with the viewers. I also featured my Clansman PRC320 military manpack radio, and my own portable ham radio builds based on Yaesu transceivers, such as the Yaesu FT-897D or FT-857D. Key to most of those builds were the automatic antenna tuners used, such as the Yaesu FC-40, SGC SG211, LDG YT-100, MAT-TUNER mAT-30. I also experimented with different battery solutions, based on NiCd, NiMH, LiPO and LiFePO4 chemistries. My activities included portable, mobile, maritime mobile and pedestrian mobile operations. Most of my operations took place in Spain, although it included a few in Portugal and Romania. Most recently, I have been involved in Beaches On The Air, which I founded and in which I have participated since 2015.
