Louis was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Married with three grown children. He counts among his strongest influences some of the greatest names in country music, Elvis Presley, George Jones and Merle Haggard.
He began singing cover songs in a high school band from some of his favorites. He attended college in the early nineties, receiving a Masters Degree in Business.
