I am Imran Khan, a teacher at a government school. Beyond confines of teaching, I am also a self-taught app developer, and spend my efforts on improving use of technology in education. Most of my service in teaching has been dedicated to schools in rural areas; and the thread that has struck chord with me is the broken portrait of education in rural areas. As a concerned teacher, I experience the struggle when capable students can’t move a step up due to lack of educational resources. These students need to learn and grow so that they can contribute towards development of society and humanity. My fundamental belief is that ideas of a trained talent percolate the entire society and humanity, and don’t just benefit an individual.
Think about a world without lights invented by Edison; the new direction given to Mathematics by Ramanujan and strengthening of Indian defense without our missile man, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
