Anand Patwardhan's Statement: I am a documentary filmmaker focusing on human rights issues primarily dealing with my country, India. I began this Youtube channel, anandverite, in 2008 to showcase some of my films that I wanted to share with the public. Many of these films have not only obtained "U" Censor Certificates from the government of India but also won both National and International awards and critical acclaim. Many films have already been broadcast on Doordarshan, the National TV broadcaster. My films consist of entirely original material. Very few archival shots were obtained after clearing these with the rightful owners, or under an internationally applicable "fair use" clause. I do not belong to any political party but have a broad interest in human rights, sustainable development, and fighting for a secular, democratic, just and peaceful world.
