Prof.FATOS QERIMAJ comes from a family of very well known Albanian musicians who has played a crucial role in cultivating and propagating the musical art and culture of Albania. Graduated in clarinette and composition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, Albania in 1982. And presently works as professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana.Prof.Qerimaj has a very rich artistic career not only in playing the clarinette as a soloist but also as a composer. Fatos Qerimaj is a founder and conductor of two music groups at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana: In – Sequence Orchestra and the Big Band Orchestra.
Fatos has performed in a considerable number of concerts outside of Albania such as Greece, Italy, France,Switzerland, Germany, Sweden,England,China and Croatia.He is the artistic direcotr of the few festivals on a yearly basis in Tirana; Jazz Festival, Clarimpro Festival, Flauti Magjik festival.Fatos is a member of several artistic organisations in Albania and abroad.
